I began creating my ceramic relief sculptures in 1992 and clay quickly became my way of expressing what was happening in my life. My “work” is actually a combination of play, work and prayer all rolled into one. My fascination with clay as a medium still continues to grow because it presents me with endless possibilities and opportunities for self expression as well as spiritual reflection. Experimenting with color, texture and form has always been at the center of my artwork. Each piece is a hand built original and therefore no two are ever alike. For me, the single most rewarding part of this journey is experiencing another person’s reaction to something that I have created and knowing that even if only briefly, I have touched or inspired them in some way.
